About DAVID CAMPBELL

David Campbell (DC) is a Tucson native who has worked with clay for 25 years. He works mostly on the wheel but is adept at hand building and sculpture as well.  David finds passion in the immediacy of working with clay to explore new forms while honing the skills necessary for creating and repeating precision pieces. He creates a nurturing, fun, and informative environment while offering guidance to beginner, intermediate, and advanced potters.

David studied ceramics at NAU in Flagstaff during the 1990’s under Don Bendle and learned from artists such as Peter Vulkous, Don Reitz, and Yukio Yamamoto. He learned a variety of building, decorating, and firing techniques creating large scale sculptures and production pottery. He is experienced with wood, salt, and raku kilns.
